Legal & Safety
Safety Guidelines
Community safety, respectful boundaries, fraud prevention, and how reporting and blocking work on SarasJodi.
Effective date: 10 October 2026. Operated by Jack of AI Pty Ltd (Australia). This pack is for transparency and counsel review — it is not a substitute for formal legal advice or counsel-signed terms.
Community Safety Guidelines
Our approach
SarasJodi supports respectful Gujarati matrimonial introductions, including candidate-led and authorised family-assisted journeys. Community traditions do not override personal choice, consent or safety.
Respect and boundaries
Communicate courteously; accept a no; do not pressure someone to share a phone number, photos, home address or relationship status; do not persist after refusal or attempt to bypass a block. Be honest about who is speaking: candidate or family representative.
Preventing fraud
Do not send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, bank details, OTPs or copies of IDs to a match. Treat urgent financial requests, requests to move off-platform immediately, inconsistent stories and claims of overseas emergencies as warning signs. Independently verify significant claims before commitment.
Safe interactions
Keep early conversations within SarasJodi messaging where available; use in-app reporting and blocking; arrange first meetings in public venues; tell a trusted person your plans; arrange independent travel; do not share live location, passwords or sensitive documents. Contact local emergency services if in immediate danger (in Australia, call 000).
Harassment and discrimination
No threats, sexual exploitation, stalking, bullying, non-consensual intimate content, identity-based abuse or coercion. Members may express lawful personal partner preferences, but hateful or humiliating treatment is prohibited.
Family participation
Families may assist only with appropriate permission. Do not publish details, accept proposals, send requests or commit to a marriage on someone’s behalf without their explicit agreement. Candidates who need help with family access should email [email protected].
Photos and privacy
Upload photos you own or are authorised to use. Do not screenshot, repost, scrape or circulate another member’s images or details outside their intended audience. Never post identity documents publicly on your profile photos.
If something feels wrong
Stop engaging, preserve relevant evidence where safe, block the person and report through the in-app report controls (and/or email [email protected]). For imminent threats contact local emergency services. In Australia, report scams via Scamwatch (https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/) and cyber incidents via ReportCyber (https://www.cyber.gov.au/report-and-recover/report). If you are physically located in India, you may also use local cybercrime channels such as https://cybercrime.gov.in/ or helpline 1930 where appropriate. SarasJodi safety review is not a substitute for law enforcement.
Consequences
SarasJodi may warn, limit access, hide or suspend content, suspend or terminate accounts, and refer matters to authorities where legally appropriate. False malicious reporting can also result in action.
Reporting, Blocking and Complaint Handling Guidelines
Where to report
Use in-app report and block controls on profiles/conversations where available, and/or email [email protected]. Helpful categories include fake identity, coercion/family control, harassment, fraud/payment request, unwanted sexual content, privacy breach, underage account, threats, discriminatory abuse and other.
Blocking
Blocking is designed to stop further contact and discovery between the parties (including mutual block exclusion from discovery where implemented). We do not notify the blocked user of the reporter’s identity. You may unblock later where the product allows.
Triage priorities
Emergency/imminent harm: escalate urgently and advise emergency services. High risk: threats, child safety, non-consensual intimate imagery, stalking, impersonation, financial fraud and coercion. Routine: spam, inaccurate fields and other breaches. Preserve necessary evidence under restricted access.
Complaint workflow
Receive → acknowledge → risk-triage → interim protections where needed → investigate → decision/action → notify parties where appropriate and safe → close with an internal record. We avoid disclosing confidential reporter details.
Service standards
We aim to acknowledge general reports sent to [email protected] within 24 hours on business days. Urgent safety risks are triaged as soon as practicable. Where a statute or regulator imposes a shorter deadline, that deadline prevails.
Privacy and support contact
For privacy and support requests relating to SarasJodi, contact Jack of AI Pty Ltd (Australia) at [email protected], postal address Australia. A named privacy contact will be published here when formally designated. Privacy complaints may also be taken to the OAIC (https://www.oaic.gov.au/).
Outcomes
Possible outcomes include no action, warning, content removal, additional verification, feature restriction, suspension, permanent ban, evidence preservation or lawful authority referral.
Escalation and abuse
Appeal moderation outcomes by emailing [email protected]. Bad-faith or retaliatory reporting may itself lead to action. For scams and cyber incidents in Australia, use Scamwatch (https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/) and ReportCyber (https://www.cyber.gov.au/report-and-recover/report). Members in India may also use local channels such as 1930 and https://cybercrime.gov.in/. SarasJodi cannot recover funds transferred outside the platform.
